For your whole career, the work found you.

A colleague passed your name along. The organization you worked for supplied the room. No one ever taught you how to be found by the people who don't know you yet.

Maybe the work still comes, from the same people it always has, and you're not sure anyone beyond them knows you're here.

Maybe it has slowed.
Maybe things are fine.

Maybe you'd never say you want to be known. You'd just like the people who could use you to know you exist.

Maybe cold outreach makes you want to climb the walls. You'd sooner reorganize the garage than send a stranger a "just following up" message.

And maybe LinkedIn looks like a place for people who say "look at me, aren't I fabulous?"

You don't have to post like that. You can share what you know, in your own voice, in a way that helps the people you want to help.

You don't have to do either.

You have 20 years of experience and a reputation behind you. Over eight weeks, you let it travel, alongside a room of senior professionals doing the same.

Busy, respected, nothing broken. And you'd still like to feel like bouncing out of bed in the morning.

It’s not your content!

It’s not your content!

You don't need to create more content.

You don't need to learn more to post about what you know. Twenty years of experience is already there.

The trouble is that it isn't clear yet. I recently saw someone create a 38-page manifesto for their new business. All copy, but no clear messaging. Nobody could repeat any of it.

What you need is one clear line people can repeat, and a profile that carries it. That's what this sprint is.

Get clear on your brand messaging, so the right people can find you and reach out first, without cold outreach.

Meet Leanne

I didn't want to pick up the phone either.

When I started my own biz in 2007, I had to find my own clients. I'm not a salesperson. I made the cold calls, and I hated it. I couldn't see myself ever loving, enjoying or even tolerating cold calling strangers. I landed a couple of clients, but it felt icky and inauthentic, and I wanted people to want to work with me instead of me trying to convince them.

So I made a decision. My online visibility was going to produce better results than cold outreach, and results that felt more like me.

I started showing up, first on Twitter, sharing what was happening in my industry, then through volunteering, events and later LinkedIn. I wasn't smarter than anyone else in the room, but people started to know my name, and my conversations began warm instead of cold. The clients came through conversations, and eventually I didn't need to pick up the phone.

Now, when I walk into a networking room, people tell me they're loving what I'm doing on LinkedIn.

When COVID shut down events in 2020, I started teaching what I'd done, and by 2023 I had built another six-figure business on the back of my personal brand. The first 16 members of my group coaching program came from conversations and my own personal brand and thought leadership.

Cold outreach isn't the only way to build a business. Building a sustainable brand can save you from those cold conversations and attract aligned clients you adore working with.

You spent twenty years earning a reputation. This sprint is eight weeks of building the brand that lets it do the introducing for you.

Picture it.

A former colleague replies to your post: "I didn't know you did this. Can we talk?"

Someone you know introduces you to a person in a different industry who needs exactly what you do.

At an event, a stranger stops you. They've been reading your posts.

Someone asks "So what do you do?" and you answer in one sentence. They say "I know someone who needs that."

A client you've worked with for years introduces you to a different kind of work. You say yes to the work that fits, and no to the work that doesn't.

You send the message you've been putting off. It doesn't feel like sales. It feels like catching up.

how it works

Known in 8 Weeks is an 8-week sprint where you build the reputation that makes the right people, including people who haven't met you yet, start the conversation.

Here's how the eight weeks work.

 Weeks 1 to 4

Get clear on what you offer and who pays for it. You mine what you already have. You test it against a problem someone pays to fix. You find the people who have it.
Then you write one line that someone else can repeat, and put it on your profile.

 Weeks 5 and 6

Turn it into an offer that looks worth buying. You name your offer and set a price.
You decide where you show up, and what you say there, so the work has somewhere to land.

 Weeks 7 and 8

Put it in front of the people who would hire you. You publish the post that reintroduces you.

By week eight you have a plan for the conversations, and the next step after them, so the work can come to you.

Every week has homework, every week has accountability, and every week has a community of senior professionals cheering you on.

Iron sharpens iron.

We help each other, we encourage each other, and we give each other the honest feedback it takes to build a brand that resonates and makes you easier to find.

Everything we learn here is about warm outreach.

People who know you, people who've read your work,

and people they introduce you to.

No cold outreach, no scripts, no pitching, and no walls to climb.

Your content written in your voice, not a formula.

Every post starts from your own experience and is written to help the person reading it, so it never reads as "look at me."

It's eight weeks. It has a finish line, and you're not doing it alone.

This is for you if:

✔️ You have 20+ years of experience in your field.
✔️ Your work comes through a small circle, and you'd like it to come through a wider one.

✔️ You can find about two hours a week to commit to the program.

This isn't for you if:

❌ You're looking for a shortcut or a posting formula. This is eight weeks of doing the work.
❌ You'd rather watch lessons than do the homework. The homework is the point.
❌ You want a sales system, with scripts for cold calls or ways to close. This is personal branding, not sales. There's more on that in the questions below.
❌ You're really looking for a job, and the business is a someday idea.

What's Inside

Running underneath: one story a week, published, through week 6.

And from week 3, five to ten small touches a week with people you know.

I've also failed at my own messaging dozens and dozens of times, which is how I can see what's off in yours.

I study messaging, test it in the marketplace, and keep refining it. That's what I do for you here, on your own material.

6️⃣Week 6: Where You Show Up.

Your homework: headlines, topics and a four-week calendar. It gives you a rhythm you can hold. Peer feedback week.

7️⃣Week 7: Your Reintroduction Post.

Your homework: the post that says what you do, published. It gives you the first time your network sees the new you in one clear post. I review your work and send you video feedback.

8️⃣Week 8: Activating Your People.

Your homework: your conversation plan, which is the message to reconnect, the message to thank an ally, and the invitation to talk. It gives you something you run, not something you learned. This is where it becomes the work coming to you. Peer feedback week.

the Next Chapter Visibility Collective.

Stepping into the next chapter of your career, especially when it's coupled with first-time entrepreneurship, can feel like leaping over an abyss. This group has been a safe and warm space to learn best-in-class marketing and positioning, develop confidence in my offer, and feel less alone on the learning curve.

Leanne gave me the space to realize what my brand actually is. I'd been heading down a path I now know was 'not me,' and through the Collective I'm moving toward a passion that's truly who I am. What makes it different is that Leanne really knows her students. In the discussion forums especially, she lets you talk through the good, the bad, and the ugly, and you get honest feedback, not just cheerleading. That's where the clarity came from.

FAQs

Is this a sales course?

No. There are no scripts for cold calls and no closing techniques. This is personal branding and LinkedIn. You get clear on what you offer, you become findable and obviously worth paying, and week 8 teaches you to have warm conversations with people who already know you or have read your work.

What does "without cold outreach" mean?

No cold calls or cold messages, and no pitching. Everything in this sprint is warm: people you know, people who've engaged with your work, people they introduce you to, and rooms you already belong to.

Will I get clients?

I can't promise you a number, and I won't. What I can tell you is what you'll have by week 8: one clear line, a profile that carries it, a story published every week, your reintroduction post, and a plan for the conversations that follow.

How much time does it take?

About two hours a week: a live lesson, your homework, and a few small touches with people you know. Your Visible Year session on December 10 is optional.

What support do I get?

A live call every week. Four office hours, Fridays at 11 am PT on December 4, December 18, January 15 and January 29: drop in, no agenda, for when you're stuck and can't start. And a community of senior professionals in the same spot, cheering you on.

How does the feedback work?

In four of the eight weeks I personally review your work and send you video feedback. In the other four, you share your homework in the feedback forum inside the community space and answer the same three questions about a peer's work, and I pull one into the live call each week.

I've started programs before and not finished. Why would this be different?

Every week has homework and accountability, and you do it alongside a community that expects to see you. That's by design.

What if I fall behind?

Lessons stay open, so you can catch up any time. Your homework is what earns feedback, so a week with no homework is a week with nothing of yours to review. Homework in on time for all eight weeks also earns you a ninth personal review.

Do I need an audience?

No. You need a network, and you already have one.

I'm busy and the work comes. Why would I need this?

That depends on who the work comes from. If it comes from the same people, you can be very busy and still be capped by who knows you. The sprint is about the people beyond that circle and the kind of work you'd like more of, so it works for people who already have a full calendar.

I already have a reputation. Why "Known in 8 Weeks"?

You're known to the people who've worked with you. This is about the people who haven't, being able to see what you do and why you're worth choosing.

Who is this NOT a good fit for?

Anyone who wants a shortcut, a sales system, or a course to watch rather than work to do. And anyone who'd rather stay unseen. This sprint asks you to be seen, starting in week one.

Is this the same as the 12-month Collective?

No. The Collective is a 12-month group coaching program. This sprint is the shorter way in: eight weeks, with limited capacity. Click here to learn more about the Collective.

When does it start?

Cart opens November 4 and closes November 25. Calls kick off Thursday, November 26, and the program ends February 4, with a holiday break from December 18 to January 13.

What if it isn't right for me?

Try the first two weeks. Do the homework and come to the calls. If it isn't right for you, tell me within 7 days of getting your week 2 feedback and I'll refund you in full. If you're on the payment plan, I refund what you've paid and cancel the rest.

Become The One They Call

You spent twenty years becoming the person people call. The people who know you call. The people who don't haven't heard of you yet.

You could wait for the same people to keep sending the same work. If you'd like a plan that reaches beyond them, this is eight weeks to build one.

Your work is worth paying for. You just need the right people to know it exists.

P.S. This is a first group, with limited capacity, because I personally review your work in four of the eight weeks. Cart opens November 4 and closes November 25. And if it isn't right for you, try the first two weeks and get a full refund.
